Default Milling inquiry 5.3L head

How much do you have to mill a 5.3L head to decrease 1 cc ??
Some say 0.005 and others .006, which is it exactly?

I milled mine .025", so am I 59 cc or 60 cc (base was 64cc) ????

And the first guy that tells me to get the burette out, well I'm gonna....

Thanks

Flat milling takes .006" and angle milling takes .008" for each cc removed.

How'd you get to 59cc? We milled .007 and with the bigger valves ended up at 62cc. As you saw, the intake valves are recessed about .030" so there is some real estate lost there.

After looking at the picture I sent you, now I'm less concerned about the intake valves as I am the exhausts!
