224 cam 112lsa... pass smog?

224 cam 112lsa... pass smog? i really wanna get a cam for my 99 camaro so i was thinkin either a 224r or a 228r with either a 112 or 114 lsa. with the 224 cam will it pass smog here in cali with a 112 lsa with a good tune or does it have to be a 114. (love the lopey sound at idle) any more info on the 2 cams about smog in cali would be appreciated. -chase

None of those cams will pass. You need -7 degrees of overlap at .050" or less to have the best chance of passing the sniffer.

k kool. I talked to one of the guys at TSP and they said the 224 for sure and the 228 cam with a dead on tune will pass depending on how efficient the cats are working.
