What all is involved in swapping a cam and how much did you guys pay for your swap? I might buy a different cam sometime this summer and was wondering how much I need to save for the install. Thanks guys.

Do be a f..... wimp! Do it yourself. This site isn't here to give you an idea of how much it will cost you to have someone else do it for you. That information is available at the local garage in your area where they're just waiting to see guys like you walk thru the door. LS1Tech is here to give you advice on how to do it yourself and walk you thru it when you have problems.

I recommend doing it yourself, but you have the cost of the cam, the gasket kit, fluids, and time. I used to do them for $300 cam and springs only. www.ls1howto.com has the best wright ups for the do it yourselfer.

I did rebuild my 350 TPI in my 88 Iroc, stroked it to a 383 and had it running low 12's, so I atleast have a little idea of whats going on when working on motors So what do I need to do to get this done on my own? Any websites, books or magazines that you would suggest that would help me?
