Mine recently busted a hole in it about the same size just last week. I was like wtf, where did my ac go? When I found that I just junked the a/c. Now its 80 mph a/c.

I also have an A/C compressor and I'll give to you for $100 shipped or maybe meet you in Lansing.

How big was the nitrous shot you put through that!

Sucks man, I've never seen anything like that either.

Another bolt (probably that one) is supposed to go where that hole is. I suspect it loosened up, hit the pulley and ripped out?

Same exact thing happened to my 98WS6. I heard a noise like air being put into a tire, then sounded like I threw a rod. I have never heard of anyone else besides me that it happened to.

Good Luck,

Bill

It deffinitly feels threaded probably a bolt.
Will I have to recharge my a/c?

whats the easiest way to do things?

Should I have someone do this for me?

If so what would it cost for a recharge?

Im going straight to the front desk desk at delphi, and am throwing it a the receptionist!!! Then I will leave; with my revenge and dignity.

The reason I noticed the problem was I was dropping my oil pan to change my oil pump and saw it. the car wont be alive for another 3 days.

Yes you will have to recharge...You can install the compressor your self, but you will need someone to recharge it for you. If you plan to keep your A/C on the car, the desicant in the accumulator is probably toast so it would be wise to replace that as well. Recharge is usually around $100-130. As stated above, compressors are pricey from the dealer, you may try a reman from auto store or a used one for sale as a few guys mentioned.

That's ugly, somethign inside went to hell.... and the power of teh motor just kept the pulley turning, and probably shreaded stuff inside.

Mine hasn't done that... and will most likly never have the chance, when teh motor gets swapped, the AC is coming out, I"m gonna have the shop save themselves some time and just leave that crap all out of there.
