They can be depending on condition. It is usually a good idea to replace them when you swap heads. Not saying they won't work but then you wasted a lot of time if they don't.

Buy new ones man, I just pulled my heads when I used MLS gaskets, and they fell apart when I pulled them up. The rubber tends to stick on the metal surfaces from the pressure and will usually, if not always, tear here and there. At that point, they're finished.
