Default 02 problem

ok my car is throwing ses code i got it scanned 02 out bank 2 sensor 1 if i remember correctly.....well i look under the car and the plug from the harness to the 02 sensor are melted, i asked the guy at schucks he said i needed to butt splice and get new connectors but there isnt enough slack in the wiring to do that!!!!!!! I need help

Just butt splice extension wires (one at a time) and hard wire the sensor.

Only drawback is that you lose the connectors.

Casper Electronics makes extensions (available through SUMMIT) that you could use.

If you want the connectors, buy one (it has a male and female connector) of the Caspers, cut it in half, and butt splice the wires to your old wiring.

Voila!

New connectors and a little bit of slack.
