Need Patrick G's advice on cam selction
However, it still has a 50° major intensity. The XE Street Rollers have a 38° major intensity and real race rollers would have a 28-32° major intensity. That is, the seat timing would go from 289°/297° to 277°/285°.
With that much cam and extra oxygen with stock deplacement, it should be able to take advantage of more revs, which would be another advantage of a solid roller. The aftermarket heads would also support a bigger OD spring to use with the solid rollers.
also patrick, what are you revving to with your 224/228 cam?
