that's a little bigger then I'll probably go... I'm doing an iron block ls1, not an ls2. Probably gonna end up with something like a 244/248 or 246/250,. lift south of 630.... I think that should be enough cam

You asked so here is my cam on an iron block as well.. 810-810 lift running the Jesel shaft mount adj. 1.8's.....

stock on a 242/248 cam with .625 lift in a LS6 motor. No problems at all.

Shouldn't make a difference.
Once the stockers are down to 22 ft/pounds they aren't going down any further. At least that is how I understood it.
