hey im sure this issue has been adressed a 10000000000 times but im searching and just not finding anything. what are the differences between a 98 ls1 and a 2001 ls1.

what i have heard:
ls6 intake
weaker block
bigger cam
heads do not flow as well
worse intake mani
worse rod bolts
worse oil pump
and revised oil passage ways
and different injectors
funky ECU on the 98

please let me know what is bull and what is the truth.

weaker block-not aware of this
bigger cam-2000 and lower had slightly bigger cams
heads do not flow as well--2k1+ heads may flow a tad better
worse intake mani-2k and under not quite as good as LS6
worse rod bolts 98 problem possibly
worse oil pump 98 problem possibly
and revised oil passage ways not sure
and different injectors diff in diff years not sure which
funky ECU on the 98-gay OS I'm told
