a little bit.
the reason people meth FI motors is too prevent detonation more than anything.
your better off with NAWS.

in our testing.. we found meth was cooling intake air temps down 105-125*F. Depending on what methyl alcohol you use.. meth is a fuel unlike "NAWZ" where you need NO2 + fuel..

use it as a fogger system, not in the tank. Usually people use it inconjunction with turbo's and/or supercharger with high boost

but like "Steel Chicken" said, its for detonation because meth is like using 120-140 octane.

so why not use a meth kit with n20 then?

or why not use a meth kit in conjunction with a tune for a 140 octane fuel

whuldent this make power?

Meth can be used with NO2, but it wouldn't be as efficient. Normally meth is used to cool IATs on FI engines. The mild octane boost is a by-product, not the main goal. Nitrous causes a cooling affect also, therefore using the two together, while possible, produces diminishing gains.

Think of it this way, octane boosters slow down the speed of combustion. Water can be considered an octane booster, as it will reduce the speed of combustion when sprayed in significant quantities....but it doesn't produce allot of energy Meth only produces about 75% as much energy as gas, therefor to extract the same amount of energy you need to use allot more.

Thanks for the additional "detail" "GR33N GoblinM6"

I would just add the cooling effects of the meth is greater at higher intake temps generated by forced induction. If the intake temps aren't that high to begin with - eg: normally aspirated, then the temp drops will be less. The amount money spent to put in a decent meth kind on a N/A motor would be much better spent elsewhere.
