Default displacment question.....

I'm in the process of planning a buildup that will include a 6 litre iron block, afr heads, a fast90 setup, and a big cam that will be going into a transam with a th400 and a 4500 nitrous converter, 4.10 rear gear. The car is mainly aimed for track performance, but will see limited street use, roughly 1500 to 2000 miles a year.

I was ready to do a 402, but have been cosiderring going with a 412 (4 inch bore, so there's plenty of rebuilds left in the future, 4.1 crank) or possibly even a 415 using a 4.125 crank. Is there any advantage/disadvantage to going with the longer stroke? the bore/stroke ratio works out to be closer to square then a 383 setup would be, and people seem to have good luck with those.... is the extra machine work worth the 12 or 15 CI that I will get? I'm not sure what the cost difference is between going with a 4.1/4.125 crank vs the 4 inch, I know the block will need some clearancing, and the #8 piston will need to be notched for clearance as well for the reluctor ring.

What would the 412/415 setup get me over the 402? The car is defonately heavy, but I plan to put alot of work into getting it lighter over next winter, hopefully dropping at least 250 lbs out of the car after adding the cage and a nitrous setup. Also, how would the 412/415 react to say a 100 to 200 shot of nitrous vs the 402?

Definate parts so far are the fast 90 intake (already have that and a NW90 TB) and the iron block, for ease of the swap, and the added strenth, should I decide to really hit it with the juice, plus the cost helps too. AFR heads are also a definate. QTP 1 3/4 headers, old non merge style and a catted Y and a LM are also being reused from the old setup, at least for now. The cat's are needed for a little longer until the car is off the road completely, until then I will leave them in for the muffler effect, and for ease of inspection. Cam will be in the mid 240's to low 250's and at least 630 lift, nothing etched in stone here yet, elec water pump will be added later as well.

Trying to weigh the options here, trying to get the biggest possible bang for the buck.

TTT guys, someone must know if the added machining costis worth while to go from a 402 to a 412/415 CI setup.....
