Default Stock lifters should be ok Right?!?!?!

Hey guys. Installing MS3 in a few weeks. Are my stock lifters going to be ok? Car has 50k. Sould i replce them? Was not planing on taking the heads off, unless i need to do lifters. What do you guys think

If your that worried and want to pull the heads, go for it. Otherwise shouldn't have any problems.

Dont worry about the lifters unless youre pulling the heads anyway. or if you have reason to believe you have faulty lifters.

I was in the same boat as you and had no reason to take the heads off. But becasue I was "in there" I thought what the hell. Well I was glad I changed them out. I had only 3000 miles on my completely stock ZO6 and when I pulled the lifter I noticed that I had the non-encapsulated type of GM lifter. I changed them over the fully encapsulated Melling lifter and never looked back. Not only do I fell more confident in the valve train I have better oil pressue and less valve train noise.
I do know how things tend to snow ball but in the end it was a good choice.
