Default engine break in time?

my oil pump went out and theres a good amount of damage on the lower end, luckily i have a warranty so i might be getting a new engine, i was wondering what would be a good amount of time or mileage to break in a new ls1? i want everything to set well

Some say put 1k on it, some say just to heat cycle it a few times and let it rip, its gonna depend on the builder !
