Question TR220 to Comp 224. Worth it?

Would appreciate some help fellas.

Did a lot of searching on this and other boards but still not sure if it's worth it. Contemplating the idea of swapping out my current TR220 for something a little more aggressive like the Comp 224. Specs for both are below:

Current: 220/220 .553 lift, 114 LSA
Proposed: 224/224 .581 lift, 114 LSA

Plan on running the cam on a street driven (no strip), 98 LS1, with all the bolt-ons plus AFR 205s milled to 64 cc. The thought of going with AFR's "Mamo" cam (224/228) looks very appealing but CA smog becomes an issue.

Would I be wasting my time doing this swap?

Any thoughts/opinions GREATLY appreciated.

Brian

Yes you'll be waisting your time.
But AFR's are a go 64 cc with cometic .040 will be a killer trq monster
What is the ICL of your cam. The VE's are good at 114+2

Predator,

The ICL is 110. How much of a hit in power do you think I'll take by going with a stock GM .054 gasket compared to say a Cometic .040 or .045?

Thanks.
