unless the entire motor was built around the 11* valve angle and that head inparticular i wouldn't waste the money on the ETP 11* heads. maybe a set of LS6/ETP heads would be a better setup. if i were to build a motor for 11* heads i would want the right pistons, and setup the cam etc all for the specific purpose of running that particular head.

The problem with the 245/255/265's is the fact that you don't have a intake that can feed them. In this instance, you might make more power with the 225's because they are within the limitations of the intake manifold. The LS7 on the other hand has a very good intake system and may be more along the lines of what you are searching for. I went with the 265's, but I also bought a $3500 intake manifold.

Default heads

I would recommend the small bore ls7 heads, you will not be so limited by the intake manifold. I have already seen 600 rwhp with a 408 etp ls7 small bore, 246@ .050 .630 lift. It drives real nice too. THe other option would be the 11 degree 225 or 245 with a LS2 manifold

Beast is right. I`m waiting to see what intakes come out to match with my ET 245`s. My ported fast 90mm intake doesn`t keep up at all. Good Luck!

Cary-you never replyed to my PM about your findings on the intake test. Whats up????

David,
I am sorry, I have been on vacation for the past three months. ( just kidding)I wish I had all the answers I was looking for. We don't have a dyno inhouse yet. We have been relying on a lot of other facilities for our testing. So far this has limited the amount of testing that we have been able to do. I do have results from my last test. All I can say is that a Fast intake has everything we need up to about 5500 rpm, and the 4 barrell intake has averything we needed after 5500, now I just have to figure out how to put the two together. I have seen some real nice results from the LS2 manifold. Vette Doctors made 568 rwhp 510 ft/lbs with the LS2 manifold on a 402. We are still under development of our own manifold right now, we have held off until we have our engine development/dyno facility ready, it is too hard to run on dynos with ls1 electronics and the setup time is difficult to work with, not to have our own dedicated dyno just for that. That is where we stand.
