Default Installed the F-13

Vids to come, but just an overview:

Drivability = great
Lope = ******* bad ***
Power = awesome from what I can tell (no track passes or races yet)

I would definatly buy it again if I had the choice. It is noticably different in drivability but I enjoy the sound and choppyness. It is a good cam for an agressive daily driver in my opinion. I wouldnt go larger for a DD but I think the F-13 is a good choice.

Cant wait to make some passes, VIDS TO COME!

Looking forward to some vids. How do you think the driveability would be in a m6? and what lsa did you get it on? How useable is the power on the street? Reason I'm asking is because I've been looking at this cam for when I get my car. Thanks and get those vids up man

I got the 114, you need the 112. I would definatly recommend it if you have a while to wait. Futral is pretty slow,

Drivability on an M6 is great. With the proper tune, it behaves great on the road and on the highway (no problems cruising in 6th gear around town). The power is definitely usable ont he street, you dont need to rev it to 6000+ rpm's to be in the powerband, which is why I love mine.

By the way, mine's on a 114 also, but I don't think it lopes hard at all. There is definitely a noticeable lope to teh exhaust, but compared to other "choppier" cams, the F13 sounds pretty tame IMO.

Is there much of a difference between the f13 and the f14?...the specs arent very different...

I also wonder how much more the f14 would lope...

I've always heard driveability is great on an m6 with most any decent sized cams. 114 lsa gives you less lope and less choppy sound, correct? I had been worried about how useable the powerband was if you had to spin it near 6k rpms to get decent power. That is because most people go for a 224ish cam for street use. Maybe I'm wrong. Thanks for the info. though.

No, I think you're right. If you don't like to rev near 6k, then you'd probably be better off with a 224 or similar cam. The F13 has excellent midrange as well as top end, but I believe it gives up a little to the TR224 in the lower and midrange rpm's (it makes up for it on the top end). This is according to a dyno graph I saw of a comparison between 3 cams on a car (its old, but if you search you may find it).

For me, I think it would be between a 224ish cam (or some custom cam near that) and the F13. I also don't want to be replacing springs and such every 5k miles haha. As long as I have alot of useable power on the street I'd be very happy. It's not a car I'm going to be taking to the track very much.
