I'm still in the same boat, as I wait for other parts. I did not catch it that 'early', and did not find any in the heads, valve springs, etc. I'm still rolling the dice on what I'm going to do.

So you are currently driving around with them in your pan?

Did you have the rockers rebuilt yet or are they still missing bearings? Damn I can see this one getting good.

I really think everything will be fine. But for piece of mind, probably should hunt the rest of them down.

I've read that they can't fit through the oil pump pickup screen, so there's a little peace of mind for you.

This is all getting slightly out of control.Pull the rocker covers and check around with a magnet and strong torch.
Pull the pushrods and use a stick magnet and check the lifter trays.
Drive the bloody car and stop worrying.
You will have no issues.
Pulling the pan is silly talk.

I guess for piece of mind, I was able to get all but one out today !

I pull the the ole pen magenet trick, and got 5 on the first time I put it in, and 4 a few tries later. So I'm left missing one (If there are 33 per side).

Here are some Aussieisms.
Bonnet=hood
Boot=Trunk
Sump=pan
Mudguard=Fender.
At 4am my brain forgets to translate.

its pretty common with LSx engines. when you found the bearings on the drain plug, did you check to see if any were in the drained oil itself? some might have come out when the oil was draining.

get yourself some thin magnets maybe even some that are extendable and have a ball joint head. that will help you fish for them in the senser hole that plugs into the oil pan. It worked well for me when i dropped washers in my oil pan. take of the intake and get a flash light to see if any are caught in there your magnet is your best friend!!!
