Short Block Build Advice..
1. Get Force Fed to build me a 408 or 427 short block. (no shipping, local friends, good rep, life is easy)
2. Get another block and do the build myself.. Meaning keep my car running and take my time getting it done the right way, with me doing the work.
3. Use my block, replacing the internals during the winter when the car will be down.. starting to buy the parts now..
The goal is for the car to stay running until the end of November.. Keep in mind there is nothing wrong with my motor and it runs strong, i am just looking through the crystal ball down the road.. Also what exactley needs to be swaped if i use the block thats in the car?
Sorry for the long post, but its offical i have done the full circle from stock back to the motor..
Everything bolts on from the ls1.. you need to go with 1 7/8 headers and bigger ingectors (i went 42 lb) other then that.. no problems
The build would be fun.. I have done just about everything on my car, this seems pretty extreme though..
i would the build myself, even though it always ends up being cheaper and less of a pain if someone else does it. but oh well, thats half the fun!!
