Default 21 mpg with TREX!!!

Thats right. I filled her back up after a 240 mile drive and she held 11 gallons. This was a mix of highway and small town redlights and on the way back I had to cruize in 5th to keep the exhaust drone from popping my ear drums cause it got cold and I had to roll the windows up (I'm just running bullets off the collectors for now, so it's LOUD). I'm still working on the tune so it's got better in it. For those who say a TREX isn't streetable I can cruize at 55 in 6th with 4.11's and a 28" tall tire, thats about 1200 rpm. FWIW the best I ever got out of this car with bolt ons, 4.11's and a 26" tall tire was 24mpg.

in a big city I average around 15-16, and on the highway my mpg stays around 26-29. I just got the car back and it is very streetable even with my stock gears.

Nice! Are you running a MAF, or is it a speed density tune?

FWIW, I get 13 city and 25 hwy.

"City" of course is relative.

For a comparison, my 98 Grand Prix GT only got 16.5 mpg in the city around here.

Right now I'm working on the VE table so it's in SD mode right now, and is pretty close to where it needs to be tunning by ltft's. I'll start tunning the MAF soon as I'm getting the VE table really close now.

Quick semi-off topic question. Do ALL 98 Z28s have gas lights? My gas guage is off by about a 1/4 reading (it only reads 3/4ths when its full). So, my car reads dead empty and I believe there's still another 1/4 tank in there. Will a gas light turn on before I run out of gas or do not all Z's have them?
