Default knock sensor

my ses light came on the other day and i went to autozone and the guy said the knock sensor was bad. so i picked one up but im not sure where it is and how hard it is to change. also my car has been idling a little rough and is really rough at about 1300 rpm then smooths out. would the knock sensor do this?

The Knock sensor is under the intake manifold. There well be 2 sensors, front and rear. As far as the idling im not to sure. sensors could be retarding timing?? im not sure. Go to ls1howto.com and go to the intake manifold swap. Hope this helps.

You can drive, but you'll have at least a continuous 4* of knock retard.
