Default push rod ?

Long story short, I put a ls6 cam in my 02 Z/28. Took out the t-rex. I ran a 7.4 pushrod and had very little sewing machine noise. I now have 7.425 with the ls6 cam, and its sewing up a storm. To long or short of a pushrod? Any suggestions? I have searched and can't come up with anything. The heads have never been off the car. Thanks.

If the base diameters of the cams are the same, then you should have run the same length pushrod.

The extra 0.025" may be bottoming out the lifter.

It's not, you need a 7.450" pushrod since the ls6 cam's base is smaller by ~.050"

Aren't the stock pushrods around 7.38? And isn't the LS6 cam .050 smaller than a stock LS1? That would mean I need a .025 longer than stock push rod since you divide the base circle by 2? Or am I way off?
