Default What to do with heads???

I just got a set of stock 5.3 heads. And was wondering what work should I have done to them to make them perform best with my ls6 cam?

Put production 2.00 ls1 intake valves in em, deshroud the chambers to the gasket line, port em up and assemble. Spend a day to install and enjoy

A lot of people run ported 5.3, LS6, and aftermarket cast heads. I actually don't see very many ported LS1 heads....

Anyways, I think if you could get them to flow around 300 (+/-5) with the porting and install 2.02 and 1.57 valves along with a 5 angle valve job you will see a good 20-30hp. I may be a little off, but that's my guess!
