Default rocker and lifter combo?

I was told I can't run my stock rockers with my comp R lifters because the stock rockers aren't adjustable. Anyone heard of this?

Thanks in advance.

Yes and no. The Comp R lifters (from what I've read) run best with .030 preload. Since you have non-adjustable rockers you will have to adjust preload with different pushrod lengths.

Personally, once I switched to an adjustable rocker, I will never go back to a non-adjustable. It's great being able to dial in the geometry that best suits my components and application.

You can also buy a shim kit and shim the rockers to make up the difference. I've been running Comp R's and stock rockers for about three years now.

I run a Comp Cams #1500 system in my CTS-V and I am putting one in my Vette next.

Nothing beats being able to "dial it in".
