EASY,...........first what you want is the sound of the,.......lopy cam..... find the one that you like the most,... make a copy on disk,.. and put it on a "loop"
play it as loud as you are comfortable with!

Performance, HP, sound, etc?
What do you want from the car as the end result?

I would like to go with the t-rex or G5X4 but I do not want to flycut. I know it is not required but I wouldnt want to miss a shift and break something due to PTV clearance problems.

Well my setup is the G5X3 cam and my idle is set at 1025 rpms so I don't stall at every light. It sounds like a NASCAR and an INDY car got together and made a baby.
On the bottom half I have a lot more growl, on the top half she fn' screams. No restriction, (NO CATS, NO MUFFLERS) LG pro long tube headers, feeding into some 4 inch quad tipped Billy Boat exhaust BULLITT !!!! Its like a little thunder and a little lightning when I go out. BTW I didn't flycutt until the milled heads were installed

One more thing, all cams will lope, how much depends on the goal of your tune, and do your goals make sense trying to drive this tempermental B*t(H around and she starts acting up. Pick anything that's .590/.590 int/exh and you should be happy. Put a crappy tune in it and she'll lope, lope, stall. Lope, lope, stall You get the picture. Hope this helps. Just make it fast and reliable.

for what its worth im running a 232/238 112 lsa cam with over .600+ lift on both intake and duration, has a good amout of overlap, and idles real nice, nice and choppy. You dont necessarily need a HUGE cam to get a nice lope to it. You should first decide on how much HP you want and how high you want to rev the car to get that power.
