Default Cam installed,but problems HELP

Installed a tr 244/244 .561 112 cam with all the goddies, springs, push rods double chain etc. I have a BBK 80mm throddle body with no hole in the blade. The computer has been "tuned" for the mods.I tried to start her and it wouldn't fire up. I gave it some throddle and it would start, but run rough as hell and not idle. Drilled my way up to a 11/64 and at least it runs now. THE PROBLEM is some times it idles fine @900 and will rev up and come back down with no problems. And sometimes it will die, and stumble or miss below 2000 rpms <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> .Above 2000 rpm the bitch pulls hard, so I don't know what it could be???? HELP

who did the tuning? mail order tuning isn't reliable..see if you can find a reputable person in your area that is good with ls1 edit and get on a dyno to really get the tune dialed in...did you install the 80mm tb at the same time as the cam? if you did the tps could be off a bit also..check the voltage on the throttle later,

I agree with 10 SecZ about the TPS dwell angle, and most importantly, check with A-Tap or a Snap-On scanner what the IAC counts are, try to get them around or near 35-45 hot ideling in nutral by drilling out the TB blade more if the IAC counts are too high and that should cure your problem.

Joe.

you mean a TR 224 right?

I bet the car tries to kinda drive itself when you let off the gas dont it? Get the IAC right and most of it will go away. Just dont go with TOO big a hole right off the bat. Do one size at a time and atap and drill again til it is right.

Would the IAC's cause the car to stumble under 2000 rpms when driving, and pulling out from a stop. Sometimes it starts bucking like a freakin bull! (and the throddle body was on and it worked fine)The only change was the cam and goodies listed above with tuning.
