Default Buying a Torquer 2, what else do I need?

I was torn between the f13 and the torquer 2 but I've finally decided on the T2. I was also gonna get a new ls6 pump. Do I really need a ported one? Who has the cheapest? I also need hardened pushrods, 7.4 length good? Should I get an LS2 timing chain or a double roller from slp? I think I am gonna go with patriot gold dual springs. I am also gonna get a new gasket kit. Anything else? Any info on what to get or where this stuff is cheapest would really help me out, I'm kinda on a budget. Please help, this is my first cam install! Thanks

Get7.425 p-rods, PRC dual springs, LS2 chain.
Gotta have to tune so budget for that too, otherwise just get the parts one by one and don't install untill you can tune.
If you have stock heads, get the 112

be prepared to lose quite a bit of low end torque with that big of a stick on stock bottom end.are you set on a t2 over something like a 224/228 on a 112 +2 or similar ?

what you lose on the low end is nothing. if you wanna go fast you wont see those rpm at all. i had it with 3.42 gears and now with 4.30's. gears will help with low end lag

and what does the stock bottom end have to do with the loss of torque , i thought it was the rear end gearing

Wow thanks for all the quick responses guys! Well I have 3.73s which should help with the low end torque issue plus I get loads of torque on spray , and this is no longer my daily driver, although it spends most of its time on the street. I just got a really good deal on an SLP double roller timing chain and oil pump.

I have a ported stock throttle body and an LS6 intake.

I was told that I could use 7.4s because i don't want too much lifter preload even though there will be less valvetrain noise with the 7.425s.

I am getting it tuned. My tuner has a special if you come back within a year a retune is only $200, rather than $500. Thats why I need to hurry cause its a year in July. The cam I have now is in the sig. The lift is in the .530s. Just wanted something bigger and I've heard good things about the Torquer 2.

I also heard that the Patriot gold duals were a better route than the PRCs due to the after market locks rather than stock.
Predator-Z you have a Torquer 2 right? Hows the drivability? What did you put down on the dyno? Track times? Are you happy with it?

I am shooting for 380rwhp.

I thought a 113 would be a little more streetable than a 112? But I am an M6 and didn't want to go with a 114.

i was meaning with stock bottom end as having thick *** gm mls head gaskets so the dcr will be very low.i myself have switched over to the t2 on a 112 but my dcr will still be 8.7 with my combo so i will still have good torque and hopefully pick up 10 rw or more, maybe.with 3.73 cogs that should be a decent combo and 380 + should be no sweat.

Yeah, but I had mine with 64cc heads and bigger valves (ported), so it pepped the cam up a bit. It is a nice cam, and I'm sticking it in the 6.0 i'm building, but this time, it will be optimized, 11.7 SCR and 8.7 DCR. I want max ouput out of it.
The reason I say get the 112 for stoch heads/compression is that it will raise the DCR a bit and put out more trq. 113+0 is a high spinner, and i mean high, you can go all the way to 7200 with it.
As for driveability, I was surprised how well it behaved (I'm A4) and besides a little idle hunting at times, it was fine.
Good tuning helps a lot.

The problem with my tune, well, cam is that it drops idle erratically, completely dieing occassionally when the ac is on, and its very easy to disrupt it at idle. Also load from steering slowly, like into a parking lot, will make it die. Its on a 112 so I thought a 113 would be a little more streetable without sacraficing too much down low. I will only spin this cam to 6600.
