what is the highest flowing intake for a 408ci ls1?

If you want to go all-out, there's always the $3000-4000 Harrop intake

For most people, the FAST 90/90 works just fine, or a custom sheetmetal intake if you have the extra $1000 for an extra 10-15 rwhp.

I'd wager that a good carb-style intake with a 90degree elbow would flow some big numbers for less cost than a sheet-metal intake...

I also think that you could port and polish AND get a nice SD tune on the carb-intake/elbow for less than a sheet metal intake, but you'll need a cowl hood, so that may be a limiting factor.

Agreed, that is a good route to go. If you really want to get the most out of your intake, let someone experienced do it right. By that I mean cutting it in half (the right way) porting and rewelding. A bit costly ~$1K on top of the intake, but you will have a bad mother when you are done.

ls7 intake is cheap and outflows fast 90. gotta have $3k ET ls7 heads though.
