Cam install help!
I believe I have the cam and crank lined up with the timing chain on, to make sure I want to turn the crank over and see if the dots line up again but when I do its building compression. Am I supposed to have the spark plugs removed while trying to turn the crank? I don't have pushrods or rocker arms in right now so the valves aren't opening, so will the compression ruin the valve seals? I keep referring to the how to guide but it doesn't mention removing the spark plugs. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
well let us see here... the motor is building compression when turned over... which makes it a lot harder to turn the motor... the best thing to probably do is to take out the plugs... Try not to think that much about things so much. A book will never tell you everything you need to know, sometimes you just have to do things on your own and see the result...
