XER Lobes & PRC Dual Springs
My AFR205's have PRC Dual-Springs installed, good to .650" lift.
The cam I'm leaning towards is a comp-grind, XE-R lobes & intake/exhaust lift at ~.580".
From a longevity perspective, since I wouldn't be approaching the max-lift of the springs (but yet on XE-R lobes) how many years/miles would you reasonably expect the PRC dual-springs to last? 10k miles? 25k miles? 50k miles? Is it waaay too much to ask to expect 40-50k miles from this type of setup? And if so, would then 50k be attainable from using XE Lobes (and a .55x" lift) instead?
Redline would be ~6500rpm, daily-driver, and rarely (probably never) will it see track-usage.

I think most tuners will tell you that from a least a preventive maintencance perspective, you should change the springs out everyy 20K miles or so, especially if the motor sees a lot of high rpms!!

Hmm.... Even with the more "mild" XE lobes...?

A lot depends on highway vs street driving, how often you hit high rpms, How mony cold starts, wether you warm the car up before driving it or not, etc. Its possible to extend your spring life that far, but dont rely on it. Go 20K then check a spring of two every 5K miles to make sure the pressure is still within spec.
