I've got a custom set of pushrods being made right now. They are 3/8" with .125 walls.

He was asking if you could swap a different pushrod into that hole and get the correct lash.

Thats the best bet, then you should watch the lifter's for wear. Our race car runs 450lbs closed and we run the custom pushrods but the lifter's need replacing after about 25 runs.

I'll keep an eye on it. I've got about 600 miles on the combo and the lifters show no wear.

Yes, I meant 'by', not 'my'. My power supply went and I am using a laptop which I sometimes make mistakes on.

With your shaft rockers, you could use a double tapered pushrod. Do you know what size will fit? From the Manton catalog:

Do not be over concerned about pushrod weight. The difference between a stock 5/16 diameter pushrod in a small block Chevrolet and a 7/16 to 3/8 tapered pushrod, represents a difference of approximately 2.5% of effective weight. This is because the pushrod is on the slow moving side of the valve train. The effective increase in weight between the two pushrods may be small but provides a huge increase in valve train stability. Remember the valve side of this valve train is the critical side where any weight savings will make marked improvements. No matter what we change, valve train stability is the goal.
