Dissapointed with TR224

It's not fair to expect certain results when your setup isn't optimized.

When the set up isn't optimized, it's hard to get a true picture of either cams true potential. No tuning didn't help either cam and the Flowmaster probably hurt both.
I think both cams would have dyno'd better but the Flowmaster hurt. Add a cutout, it's an inexpensive mod and retest. If you go to the track the cut out will be worth what it costs.
When two untuned cams are compared the results are what they are for untuned cams and it's fair compare in that regard. With tuning the TR-224 has more potential than the Hot cam due to the extra intake duration, IMO.
Keep tweaking and you'll get more power of the TR-224.
