I actually just ordered my 370(iron block) from Erik at HPE. After speaking with him, I felt good about that decision over the forged 347. Not to mention it was about $150 difference. Why not go with more cubes?? Erik tookt the time to explain to me the whole deal behind the iron blocks being better to hone and deck over some of the aluminum blocks. I dont mind the added weight. I just take it off somewhere else

im definately going with an iron block... just dont know which... 370, 0r 408? prolly go with a 408.

Then keep saving! Are you putting this in and tuning it yourself? The labor for the swap, build, and tuning is going to run 2,000 dollars or more itself.

Did he talk to you about the aspect of better oiling thru better control of tolerances? I. E. Less shifting and better control of Expension rates equals better tolerances and control in machining and blueprinting those tolerances. You would open your eyes even more if you get that class.
