Yeah, it is a smaller cam. I would honestly run like a 918 on that cam even though the lift is .525/.525.

I would pick up a converter as well. maybe something from like 2800-3200.

Default yup

the springs are good to .580 lift, but the 918's are a better choice along with titanium retainers. Don't mean to hijack but won't the 2002 zo6 cam be better, even for an automatic?

Those are both acceptable starter cams. The hot cam will have more lumpiness to it. Theyre both very small cams though. You may also look into a 224 cam, which would be a better performer.

If youre buying the package because its relatively inexpensive, then youre options are limited. But if you dont mind spring a couple hundred more you can get far better performing parts, and youll save yourself the labor of doing it a second time when you get bored of the hot cam.

What is your reason for going with the hotcam? Drivability, price, convenience of buying the package, etc...? Because, personally, I would not go with anyting smaller than a 224 cam (scuh as the TR224). You can get the TR224 as a whole package from thunder racing for a good price, and it will outperform the hotcam just about everywhere on the rpm range.

i want the hotcam because i found a good deal and it comes with springs and pushrods, i dont want anything too radical.... ive told this to thousands of people im tryin to say below 220 duration for stock converter drivability! and cam swaps are fun IMO
