So far so good, although its been a pain in my *** to get my idle back to normal. I've been trying to adjust the pcm enough but I just need to stop messing around and drill a small hole.
You can definatly feel it when the cam kicks in around 2500.

Thanks again.

They will answer your email quickly, usually a day of two. Great people at Thunder you won't be disappointed.

Gave them a call yesterday and spoke with David.

Great guys, real helpful, and willing to explain a lot of things to me which I am grateful for. We must of been on the phone for 30min explaining different setups and such.

That being said, I am now looking at their 227/224 or 224/227 cam with 4.10gears, ported ls6 oil pump, LS2 chain, 918 springs, pushrods, and possibly lifters (high milage).

Ya, they are great over there.

But if you plan doing a power adder in the future, I would suggest going with a larger exhaust duration over the intake duration. so 224/227>227/224

I went with the 227/224 and love it. Perfect sounds. with the exhuast through the exhuast it sounds very tame....with the cut-out open...it sounds badass...best of both worlds with a cut-out.
The only thing, i wish i would have really went bigger, like MS3 bigger. For a daily driver, i ahve no complaints...without a tune i still manage over 20mpg combined city hwy...
btw 380 RWHP untuned with midlengths headers and bolt ons

I exchanged my CheaTR cam (NIB) for the 230/224 after talking to Thunder last week. I'll be installing it along with a set of stg II LS1 heads (unmilled) w/ 2.02 / 1.57 valves and dual springs. Does anybody think I'll run into ptv problems using a thinner gasket with the larger valves? The install won't be for another few weeks while I gather some addtional parts, so I'm not in too much of a hurry. I am anxious to hear it though!

another vote for the 230/224...i have that cam and i love it..sounds good and pulls real hard through midrange..really comes in around 2000..i have no driveability issues with it either..4.10s help that out and its a great street cam!
