Has anybody used Castrol Syntec 10W-40? Any good results quieting the piston slap down with it or any other oil?

Ive been using Quaker state 10w-30 . cheap synthetic **** ...

Well today i went to Kragen at box a couple cases of Royal Purple 5w-30 And some K&n Gold Oil filters...

I changed my oil today, And wow !! i see more Oil pressure , and it Quiet down the internals Alot !! ... Im going to use this oil for a while and then try Mobile 1 maybe . but i really like this royal purple .. the price isnt that bad ..

If you want stuff to last, buy the best..

I just changed to German Castrol 0W30. Mobil 1 5W40 is no where in sight in my area and I'm not going with the thin W30 version.

I saw at autozone there is a 5W-40W Castrol Syn that says on the back european formula. Has anyone tried this?

Nope, a 5w30 will flow better on a cold start than a 10w30 will. The lower the first number is, the better it will perform on the cold cranking tests.

My car only see's the summer. I only run mobil 1 5w30. I would really like to get a hold of some GC 0w30

Valvoline Syn Blend.. 5qt 10w30 1qt 20w50.. keeps the intake sexy without a catchcan.
