Default Precison Race Components Small Runner UPDATE!!

I thought I'd jump on ls1tech & thow out a quick post on the status of our small runner cylinder head! The new small runner head is nearly done & I'm completely happy with it! Here's a few quick specs on the new head!

Built with a Edelbrock casting!
202cc runner!!
62cc chamber
2.04 intake valve
your choice of exhaust valve size!
PRC double spring kit good to .660 lift!
A SMALL RUNNER HEAD THAT DOESN'T BACKUP @ .60!!!

I'll get flow data up for you guys in the next few days! The runner flows about 315cfm @.650" & moves awesome air throughout the flow range!

Retail pricing should be about $1900!!

With this cylinder head you'll get:
The smallest runner available!
Big peak & mid lift air flow
.660" lift springs standard
Decked & Assembled to your specs with your choice of valve sizes!
62cc chambers standard OUT OF THE BOX

I think we've put together the ultimate small runner head available! Look for pics & flow data in the very near future!

Much better deal than the Ligenfelter Edelbrocks, too.

Sounds like a good set of heads for the small cam daily drivers. I still dont buy into the super small runners.

Yeah I like my bigger runner cylinder heads fine, but a lot of people want small runner heads & this thing has to be one of the most impressive small runner heads ever made! It flows big air without having a fish bowl shaped chamber, keeps stock valve angle so you don't have to worry about pushrods length/spacers, etc...

The thing that's really cool about this head is it doesn't fall flat on it's face like the competitions small runner stuff! I have a few different valve configurations that flow past .700"!!

Look for engine dyno tests very soon!

what exactly is the advantage of the smaller intake runner? more velocity? what is the runner size on your LS6 heads?

Very professional response to a half baited statement on my behalf. Good luck and I hope they do well.

You guys are really doing a lot of R&D!! First the MS4 now this head, this is good for us LS1Tech folks. How does it stack up against the 205 runner heads? Any comparison? Would this be a good choice head for the Torquer V2?

i prefer small runners over big runners specially if they flow the SAME because you will have more air velocity ( this will make more power than the bigger head) and you can make the head's runners bigger by more porting. looks like this head will be even better than the 205 AFR heads, we will see.

I'd like to know the big advantages also. Port velocity seems to be the big thing addressed, but what else do these heads have to offer over say..your st. 1 ls6 heads?

i still say it's the cross section of the port that determines velocity, more than port volume.but the heads sound like a great deal, and should put down good numbers....keep up the good work guys

The chambers have to be CNC machined on all the porters version head. There is a ton of extra material everywhere in these heads and start off with the tiniest runners/chambers I've ever seen before. But, I myself don't know -all- the tech stuff on these heads... I'll let Jason know there are some questions in here and have him respond when he gets caught up.
