Has anyone purchased any engines from Texas speed and performance
If so how is the quality and if not who makes the best LS1 based long block

Noting wrong with TSP. I have only purchased a cam swap kit from them, no long blocks, but I would certainly consider purchasing one from them.

TSP is good peaple, i perchased a set of heads and Fast 90mm intake from them and they have helped me with every thing.

You should have no worries at all. I've ordered a couple engine parts from them. No complete engines though. They have great customer service and ship things out quickly. I'll probably order a shortblock from them in a couple years without any second thoughts about it.

I would not worry about who makes "the best LS1 based long block" because that is just an opinion if you receive an answer to that question. There are many reputable shops out there that can do it. TSP is one of the well known ones for quality assurance.
