Default Pressure out of oil fill cap, is this bad rings?

I haven't done a compression or leakdown yet, but the car is burning oil when I rev it in neutral, at idle, and on the road.

I took off the oil filler cap and at idle can see and feel major pulses. When I rev the car I notice a light smoke coming out, but not as much pressure on my hand. Does this mean the rings are shot? I'm planning to do compression/leakdown once the car cools down.

Are you running a breather and thats how you feel the oil? Also have you let the car fully warm up first? Theres a lot of blowby when you first start the car.

Urmmm...I have no blowby hand-felt when warm OR cold...is mine special or something?Yes, it sounds like rings to me. Valve seals smoke up cold start, and under engine braking. Rings smoke more when cold, true, and when you get into upper rpms.
