Default Fm-13?

Hey guys I have a couple of questions concerning my future setup.
I was wanting to go with the FM-13, along with all the goodies(918 springs, retainers, pushrods). My car has the usual bolt ons (lid, headers, catback, pulley)

Do you think the FM-13 would be properly matched with a 3500 converter and 3.42 gears along with the full bolt ons? or would you suggest any different cam? I dont mind some lopeing since the car will get tuned.

Tell me what ya think!!

Well I have that cam and I dont think that the 918 springs will take that cam. I have 921 comp cam springs. Othaer than that you will probably need a 3.73 gear and not be afraid to run the car to 6500 RPM. It should do real good then, hope this helps.

Ok, Well I thought that the 918's were good up to .600 lift. Maybe I should rethink the springs?

Any other suggestions from anyone?

the 918's were rated to .625" of lift untill the 921's came out and since they are so much more expensive, they decreased the lift ratings to .600's to make the 921's which are rated around .650" of lift more appealing for the larger cams, not to mention the price issue since hte 921's are 2 times the price...

now to directly answer the question, the 918's will work decently wit ha f13, but you will replace them more often and will be more prone to breaking. personally id look into the patriot gold/platinum springs kit, i think its 250 for the whol kit, plus the cam and pushrods, and if you want to be OVERLY safe get some oem replacement lifters(LS7 lifters work really well and are better than LS1, and i think a pack of 8 is 120 bucks), ported LS6 oilpump, ls2 timing chain, and since your splurging get the underive pulley for a few extra ponies...
