Default Solid Roller Spring life???

Was wondering what kind of spring life I could expect out of a solid roller with a 270/279 .715 lift cam with 305 closed seat pressure. MAYBE 50-100 miles weekly street miles. Im not woried about the quality idle ETC. just want to know spring life on something like this.

depends on the spring chosen and how its setup. There are springs out there that "should" last with a cam of that size. But they are going to be large springs with a very tall installed height. You really need aftermarket head to do this right. Stock ones are tought to fit anything over a 1.550 diameter spring. And be sure to talk to your head guy before ordering everything...a much longer valve will help out as well since you can fit a spring with a 2.000 installed height.

Do you have any more specs on the setup?

OK...well then I would talk to ETP before you get the valves and springs/retainers and let him know of the cam specs. Go big on the springs IMO. Wider and taller is better than trying to get the right pressures with a smaller shorter one that is on the edge of its capacity.

I believe it was a 2.00 installed hieght and 1.6xx diameter. How long if you had to guess would they last if I street drove it 50 miles a week?
