Default head bolt question

LME put my long block together and said i reuse the head bolts under the intake manifold. i only have 8 so im thinking i am missing two bolts or im over looking the bolts and im not missing any.

Were they talking about the bolts that hold the heads to the block or the bolts that hold the valley cover on?

I'd get new head-to-block bolts, but I'm not sure. This would probably do better in the internal setion.

The small one on the very top of the head can be re-used if need be since they are not torqued and then streched. But if you buy a head bolt kit from GM or ARP you get new ones, so you might as well use those. And there is 10 of those small bolts. 5 on each side.
