Royal Purple 20w50?

When I bought my car the previous owner informed me to use 20w50 oil on the car. I thought this was kind of strange but he said the motor builder recommended that. Should I stick with 20w50? Or go to something else? Right now I currently use Royal Purple 20w50. Here are my motor specs.
Block
l- honed to 3.905
-blueprinted
- decked a couple of thousand an inch.
-Diamond Forged pistons with friction coating on the sides and thermo coatings on the tops with 7 cc valve relieves.
-Eagle H beam forged rods.
-Federal Mogul coated bearings
-ARP Rod Bolts
98 heads
- ported 2.02 1.60 valves
- o-ringed
- double valve springs
- custom length hardened push rods
