Default Oil pressure question

Just changed the oil since psi were looking low. Used 5.5 qt of synthetic blend 10w-30. At startup the car idles a lil above 40psi. After driving around for a while and car is fully warm (210f) car idles at around 23-25psi (rpms idle around 550rpms). By just driving normaly psi always remains around 40psi, and at wot they hit somewhere close to 60psi. does this sound to low?

car specs

2002 a4 Camaro z28
101400 miles
lid and exhaust

car still runs really strong, but 23psi idle seems low

that's not bad too bad. Using something like a 0w40 oil will help.

no, not if it was only a few times and you didn't keep driving it for a couple hours with the needle pegged.

Sounds about right, as you drive hard for a while your oil gets warmer and somewhat "thins up"...gets a little more viscous. So your oil pressure will drop to around 30 normally. I think your just fine, could use a lighter weight oil..I run 5w-30 M1 full synth. and have great results with it.
