I really think it matters how much spring pressure we're talking about, that's what really murders timing chains is the resistance, especially if there is any play in the chain/sprockets.

If youre in the area, it would be silly not to change out the timing chain to the stronger ls2 chain. A lot of people run magic sticks and TRex cams with teh ls2 chain.

I already had a shop do the cam install. I was just wondering if I would be ok with my stock ls6 one.

Well, Its no guarantee, but youll probably be fine. If its a stock drop in LS1 spring, chances are you arent running more than 350# springs anyway.
