Default spark plugs

Example: stock LS1 w/ no mods, would running TR6 plugs hurt performance?

what happens if you run a 1 step colder plug than stock?

I don't know if it will hurt performance, but it won't help. The downside is the may foul in the cold weather if you idle a bit. The TR55's are a good heat range for stock compression and chamber heat.

I ran TR6s on my 98 Formula and they fouled out rather quickly. I believe I only put 13k on them and then it started misfiring so badly that it wouldn't rev past 5k. I honestly thought my fuel pump died, that is how badly it ran with those fouled plugs.

So just be prepared to change them more often if you run TR6s. Other than that, they work fine in a stock LS1, and will also help lessen the amount of KR you get.
