Default Need input on tools for degreeing a cam

What kit or tool setup are you guys using when degreeing in a cam on a ls1?
I have a few wheels here but and in the air as to what is used as a crank socket for the degree wheel to attach to. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again guys and sorry for the newbie questions.

You'll need a piston stop to determine TDC.

A spacer to position your degree wheel out to where it's not hitting the block. A hollow socket can work in a pinch. Use the crank bolt that holds the balancer on.

The Degree wheel.

A rod to be used as a pointer (welding rod will work in a pinch).

A gauge mounted on a pedestal that can be secured to the head or a body panel that won't move. You'll want it to measure off the pushrod or rocker arm.

Here's some info from Comp Cams.

I think Crane might also have some good info on their site.
