I'm assuming this is on a set of TR55s? If so, .050-.055.

so bigger gap is better?

I have mine gapped at 38 right now for a 150 shot of nitrous.
Would it be better for me to just use plugs gap to 38 when I am using the nitrous. Then just use 50 when I am driving around.

NO, if your running TR6s just leave them alone at .038. I drive mine 99.9% of the time without running the juice and I am using TR6s gapped @ .038.

The plugs that we're talking about in this thread however are the TR55s (not for N2O use) so if your spraying on TR55s then you need to get them outta there asap.

These plugs in this formula my friend has with the hotcam were gapped to .026 when he first got it. they are gapped at .060 right now and the car got a lot slower.

I am missfiring though. I have an lt-1 gapped to .038 for a 100shot of nitrous.
I wonder if I shoudl gap them larger

I do not think you are understanding.
For nitrous you use at least 1 range colder plug for up to 150 shot.
It is gapped tighter because under nitrous, the cylinder pressures are so high that it could blow the spark if gap is too large. Tight gaps reduce that effect.

NA, too large a gap can induce missfire for the same reasons under high rpm.

IIRC they come gapped at .035
Just check gap and leave them at that.

does it matter if it is a 11.5:1 compression motor?

do you mean too big for aftermarket?

it says .060 on the info sticker under the hood.

I'm disturbed to find out that my Delco Iridiums are supposed to be gapped at .040, but on the package it says to gap to factory specs.

well, I guess I'll hafta spend another 60 bux, cuz I put around 5k on these plugs in a new engine and I don't wanna do the job twice.

so with a .020 'overgap', how much power am I losing? I mean are we talking 5-10 or 20-30? I've never had plugs that were gapped wrong (always used stock plugs and factory gaps), but I did notice the car was a little sluggish, all this time, I thought i just had high expectations, lol
