I have heard alot about guys using 5.3L heads for the higher compression on their LS1's. My question is what has to be done to use these? i am sure they will need to be ported and such, and maybe milled. My question is, with my cam (in sig), can i get the valves to clear the pistons? Will i need to change the valves, can i use the ones from my 5.7 heads?
Finally, about how much does it cost to have heads machined once they are purchased? i know i can get a set for around $450.
