Default New Texas Speed Camshafts & PRC Heads Combo NEWS!

We just finished testing several new camshafts for both stock heads & the PRC Street LS6 heads!

The new 235/238 Camshaft uses .647" of intake lift & .602" of exhaust lift thanks to Comps new LSK lobes on the intake side. We built the new camshaft specifically with the PRC Street LS6 cylinder heads in mind. This new camshaft design allows us to deck the PRC LS6 heads .020" (61.5cc chambers), and the use of .040" Cometic Gaskets without piston to valve issues!

The 235/238 .647"/.602" 112+2 Camshaft will offer nice DCR especially when combined with the PRC LS6 heads & extra compression! This package has already made over 460rwhp in my heads cam 05 goat running through Kooks cats & a stock catback! Look for several more results very soon! We're putting together several of these packages right now & have special pricing put together for this package!

We're also testing several different Camshafts here very shortly so look for several new options using the LSk lobes very soon!

$1474.99 For PRC Street LS6 Heads Decked .020", TSP 235/238 Camshaft, and 7.400" pushrods!

I'll try to post some pics & dyno graphs from this combo very shortly! Look for more new camshafts coming very shortly.

Is there going to be any smaller cams with that much lift that will work with the same heads ?

Thanks for sharing the results. I'd love to see some info on H/C PRC LS6 packages that use a more mild camshaft. Post some dyno graphs please!

And I was wondering which valves these PRC LS6 heads are using. Hollow/sodium filled or what?

Thanks! Keep up the good work!

I'm assuming you would reccommend this new cam with the heads you mentioned above to the MS3 cam with the "basic" CNC LS6 heads you all have?

That sounds like a killer setup! 11.4:1 SCR and 8.5:1 DCR. With an IVC of 47.5 degrees, it should maximize the power under the curve as well.

While the SCR and DCR are good, a 47.5 IVC is a bit high. That will leave some trq on the table. 45 IVC max for maximum effect on stock cubes.
It is good to see that this combo takes DCR into consideration, but since there is still no intake that can induce peak later than 6300 rpm, anything beyond that is not going any higher in output.

Someone should try this with a Wilson equal runner length intake.

Look at this cam's power curve and it has only 43 IVC (Green)

How about a dyno graph Zach??

I'm going to work on getting some graphs and idle videos posted up over this weekend.

WhiteSS, there is no core charge, the package price is outright!!

We have several cams that have proven power and ET, the intention for making this combo is to take it a step further as a heads/cam combination (as requested by customers) that the customer knows will work and will be happy with. Keep in mind that we are still working with several different cams to optimize output, so the process of installing heads and reinstalling cams takes a while as we are doing this on our own time. Stay tuned, there will be more information coming soon for you guys. If ya'll have any questions feel free to post up or shoot me a pm!

I will be going with your heads and spring upgrade, but I already bought the cam. It's similar to yours, LSK intake, XER exhaust, 112+2, but I chose to go with a 228/230 set instead. A bit milder. I can't wait to see the results. Please keep making those CNC'd LS6 heads. I don't want to wait a month when I order them!
