bah, a lot of people go with this cam only to find out it is too small for their taste.

The 224 is mild, but look at his mods. I'm all about big cams as the 2 camaros at my house have big cams, one a Trex and the other an Ms4, but you need to have supporting mods for all that, and he doesn't even have a stall yet.
228 is the most I would go for that car.

I don't know much about the voodoo cam, but I have Lunati's w1 cam for a while, and it was a really great, streetable cam. 227/232 .578/.589. They usually come with a 116lsa I believe, mine was on a 112.

I would really recommend atleast a 3500 converter. Look at the specs on the cams again. Now if you look at the ms3, you can see that it doesn't even START to make power until 2300 rpm. Your stock converter is not going to allow you to rev your car that high without breaking the tires loose. And think, even then, at that 2300, there isn't going to be much power, so wouldn't you want to be more into the cam's powerband?

Here is what I would get if I were you:

-Big stall
-MS3 or MS4 + spring kit + pushrods
http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...d=175&catid=49
-LS6 intake
-Gears (optional)

This stuff will not cost you a fortune, and you will make some great power!

P.S Here is my cam: 243*-247*-112*-.629"-.629"

Granted it is in a 364 (ls2) and I have a M6. I also have every supporting omd there is

That is the difference between your car and his car, and why I made a mild cam recommendation for his car.

I like big sticks too!!! j/k
I know what you're saying though, it's just hard to justify putting an Ms3 on a stock intake and converter. Now with all the right goodies, the Ms3 is my second favorite cam (soon to be 3rd hopefully when I find out what kind of numbers my Ms4 is putting out) and one of the greatest nitrous cams IMO. It takes money to get you where you need to be for a big cam, but then, you gotta pay to play.

I would agree but good power can be made on smaller cams still even a lil 220/220 might work.

224 probbly would be your best bet.

224/228...with a good tune you'd hardly know you had a cam unless you have timeslips to compare at hand.

if you plan on going over 220 with the dur, i'd suggest an aftermarket torque converter. for the cam duration i suggested, i think 3,400 stall speed would be the lowest you could go without making your car a dog off the line.
